As the train halted in the station,
So did his ongoing nightmare,
As he stepped out of the station, it hit his face,
The Amsterdam’s chill air of Freedom.
Freedom,
From all the emotional baggage,
From all the sense of self-disappointment,
From all the insecurities.
Dragging a heavy suitcase full of self expectations and excitement,
Walking towards the tram station which would lead him to his little temporary home for the next three days,
That walk was a hard one, for it was his first solo-trip,
And the expectations that lay ahead for him.
As he walks down the streets of Amsterdam,
He finds a solace in the chill air that brushed his frowned folds,
He was ready to explore the city and its symmetrical streets over the canals,
He was going to live life to its fullest these three days.

The Night Photography Session,
Made him look at places and life in a different view,
Taught him to find beauty even in darkness,
Also found new acquaintances in his co-experiencers who understood him for what he is.

The Early Morning Cruise Canal,
The not so quiet joyful cruise with mixed cultured people with an unexpected mizzle,
As the light drizzle touched his face,
He found this unexplained peace upon his burdened heart.

The Photo-walk in the city of Amsterdam,
For someone who is very shy in front of the lenses, she eased him into it real good,
Made him realize his inner self and brought out the side of him, out, who is always scared to face the world,
She made him realize that he was a beautiful soul who deserved happiness and has a beautiful smile too.

As he walked in those streets of the famous Red Light District,
He was amazed at how different this little world was,
A world where people are not bothered by anything- A world with no judgement,
A world he wished to lived in.
As it was all coming to an end,
The trip would be the most memorable of all- his first solo trip,
With lots of memories, and the urge to make more,
He boarded the flight that was bringing him back to the reality- his routine life!!!
